Yesterday Jeff's parents dropped by and surprised us with an offer to take both kids and stay at a hotel for the night so we could go do something fun.
You know what we did for our date night?
I mopped the floor, folded laundry, vacuumed, and went to the grocery store. Jeff had a nap and watched football. Then we went to dinner with Jeff's parents and the kids, bought Jeff some new shirts, and watched Inception at home. We didn't know quite what to do with ourselves given multiple hours of peace and quiet.
But you know what the best part about date night was? Getting to sleep in.
EXACTLY what we would have done, too! How lame I've become. :)
