I've worked a lot this week. I didn't even get my regular day off because of all the meetings I've had scheduled. My family's just not cut out for a 40-hour work week for mom. And kids.
So as a lame try at making up for so many long days and late nights, I gave the kids a dollar and said they could pick something out of the vending machine.
Now, I know a bag of Cheez-its in no way makes up for hours away from home, but it sure made them smile.
