Utah State has somewhat of a curse when it comes to post season play. So with an up and down year, I'll admit I didn't expect much, if any, play at all when the Aggies didn't win a bid to the NCAA Tournament.
But I was wrong.
Tonight our Aggies played in the championship game. Who cares if it was the CIT (basically the NIT for the non-power conferences). Being the dedicated fan that he is, Jeff had been to all the postseason games. Every game fell on a day when I had Young Women activities or meetings or church. And being that someone in this Aggie crazed household had to be religious, I opted to skip out on the games.
But not tonight.
I skipped Young Womens and cursed the team. Apparently eternal salvation does win out on instant gratification. Oh well, the game was down-to-the-wire dunking craziness and lots of fun. Just a bit of a heartbreaking end for Aggie nation.
